Welcome to the Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary and Buckfast Butterfly Farm.
A small, friendly, family run place to visit in South Devon, ideal for a family visit whatever the weather.

VISIT

Opening Times & Admission

We are open every day from 10am-5.00pm. Otter feeding times are 11.30 and 2.00pm and 4.00pm until November 2nd.

From November 3rd we are open daily from 10am to 3pm.

At this time of year, the best time to see the butterflies on the wing are mornings. Later in the day when light levels are low activity can be reduced.


Otter feeding times are 11.30am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm. These are the best times to see and enjoy our amazing resident otters.

Our gift shop is open with an interesting selection of gifts with an otter and butterfly theme.

OTTER FEEDING TIMES

Feeding time!
This is the best time to come and meet our otters, our keeper will give a talk and tell you all about our resident otters and why they are with us.

Have you met Izzard?

He is our resident iguana

We rescued and re-homed Izzard, he is about 11 years old now and loves showers to cool down and loves a good neck scratch from our keepers.
